5 year and 3 months old system is no longer connecting to Internet. I have no way of knowing my production or if it’s even producing. Installer tried to fix it. They contacted enphase and was told that the communication board needs to be replaced. $420 as I am 3 months out of supposed 5-year warranty. How can equipment that is supposed to last over 20 years equipped with such trash that it requires a $420 part only 5 years in. They should honor my warranty being that it is only 3 months. I even offered to pay half. Horrible business practice. Stand by your product. Next house I will make sure the installer does not use this trash company.

    Smooth Enphase System Install

Had Enphase microinverters installed with my new solar panels. Everything's been running really smoothly since day one. The app is super intuitive for tracking production, and I haven't had any issues at all. Happy with the overall performance and reliability.

    Solid Investment in Solar

Investing in an Enphase system has definitely paid off. The power output is consistently strong, even on partly cloudy days. I appreciate knowing that each panel is working independently. Good quality hardware that gave me peace of mind for the long haul.

    Run, worst investment ever

Spending over $32,000 on this system has been a nightmare. Getting help from customer service is nearly impossible, and even their online chat is useless. My solar panels have been out of service for more than four months, forcing me to pay extremely high energy bills. If I could do it all over again, I would never have purchased solar from this company—it’s been nothing but stress, wasted money, and constant frustration. To make matter worse, there is another $250 for technician to come out. Run!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hello Jo, We’re truly sorry to hear about the challenges you’ve faced and understand how frustrating this must be after such a significant investment. System downtime and difficulty reaching support are not the experience we want for our customers. As the manufacturer, Enphase provides remote troubleshooting and warranty coverage, but service visits and associated costs are handled by the installer. That said, we don’t want you to feel unsupported. Please share your Site ID along with your reference case number 18543343 with us at mobile-apps-support@enphaseenergy.com. Our team will investigate in detail, and we’ll be happy to resolve the issue remotely if possible. Your feedback is important, and we’ll continue working to improve both our support experience and customer satisfaction.

    Terrible customer service

I bought a home that had a small enphase system installed. I wanted to install additional panels, decided it would be good to have all enphase. so got one of their installers to install 10 more panels. Then the issues start. The app doesn't recognise my installation. So months back and forth with installer and enphase still no solution. I call enphase and a lady says to send all details and she will get it sorted( great I think) . Several weeks later I call Enphase again and they now ask for money to do an ownership transfer before they will allow me to access my installation. The issue has been escalated, but so far my experience with this company is not good and leaving me wishing I bought solar edge. Update: yesterday I replied to the specific email as requested. Today 21/8/25 I received an email detailing how I must pay an extra 200 dollars to get the app working for my recently installed System. This was meant to be all setup by the installer and enphase. The installer installed my panels 4 months ago.

    Possibly a scam going on

This product doesn't deserve one star but that was my option. I have 20 of their solar panels and it's only my wife & I, we never touch our thermostat, it stays on 72 degrees, I'm gone all day long 6 days a week and my electric bill is $300. I think their panels is making it worse because my neighbor's electric bill is $184 and he has a pool and no solar panels. Something isn't jiving, they're either in with FPL and scamming people or their product is horrible. I purchased 20 more panels from their competitor and my electric bill drastically went down. It's just not a good product at all and customer service is horrible.

My system shuts off the breaker outside…

My system shuts off the breaker outside 2 to 4 times a day electric company said no surges. Everything's fine and phase says contact your installer with ADT is out of business then they said if it gets too hot, it can shut down well I hate to tell them, but it’s a desert that’s why I have solar stay away from this company as their products fail constantly and don’t buy their generators because they can’t get there product on the solar panels to work. How the heck is their generator gonna work?

    Reply from Enphase Energy

We’re truly sorry to hear about the ongoing issues you’ve been experiencing with your system, and we understand how frustrating and disruptive this must be. We also understand how difficult it can be to get help when the original installer is no longer in business. This is certainly not the level of service or reliability we aim to provide, and we sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused. High temperatures can indeed contribute to system shutdowns as a built-in safety measure. However, if this has been a recurring issue, another possible cause could be improper breaker sizing or a faulty breaker, which can result in frequent tripping, regardless of power surges or utility feedback. Also, for clarification: Enphase does not manufacture or sell generators. Our portfolio includes microinverters, battery storage systems, EV chargers, and system monitoring solutions—we do not provide generator products. If even after changing the breakers the issue persists, please reach out to us directly at mobile-apps-support@enphaseenergy.com, and be sure to include your system or Site ID so our team can review your system’s behavior in detail. Thank you for your honest feedback—we take it seriously and are committed to using it to improve both our products and our customer support experience.

    Great with Existing Solar

Decided to upgrade my old system, and my installer recommended Enphase. They integrated seamlessly with my existing panels. The system feels robust and the support from my installer, backed by Enphase, has been excellent when I had a couple of questions initially.

Not possible to recommend buying products from this company in Denmark.

After seeing the specifications of their solar system on the danish Enphase web site I decided to buy the products late 2024. But just after installation, it became clear that Enphase does not deliver anything near what they promise on their web site. According to the specifications on the web site, the system should provide features to store and sell energy on demand, provide user selectable usage of batteries and provide backup in case of grid down. None of the above are possible. The system does produce power and yes it does store energy in the batteries but it’s uncontrollable by me and worse you can’t switch it off unless physically on the main switch board. The system should be fully manageable by the App.. But that not correct, the App is for show off and contains no means to manage any part of the system. The options to manage the system by other means like HomeAssistant are not embraced by Enphase and it seems as they are not interested in users using anything but the App.

    Reply from Enphase Energy

Dear Flemming, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We’re truly sorry to hear about your frustration, and we appreciate the opportunity to clarify a few important points. Enphase systems do support backup functionality when installed with the IQ System Controller 3 (or earlier compatible models). Please note that backup systems are not currently available in Denmark, which is why this feature is not reflected on our Danish website.

    Reliable Power, Easy Monitoring

Switched to Enphase for my solar setup, and it's been a great decision. The per-panel optimization is a real plus, especially with some shading on my roof. Getting clear data on each panel's output through their app is reassuring and easy to understand.
